"Viv and Kalki just get it! Their retreat is SO nourishing and inspiring. I felt this 3 years ago when I came for the first time with Luke and Christian, and this trip was no different. Apart from the beautiful updates to the living spaces, which make it feel as though you could stay for months (aircon, kitchinette! Boom!) the heart of the retreat is the same. Brilliant hosts who clear the way to creativity. Cooking and providing and setting up the rehearsal space. And the same rustic, inspiring heart. The rehearsal space is bloody good - simple, spacious and liberating. A pleasure to arrive in, every day. 
 
I wholeheartedly reccomend this retreat to anyone making a show, whatever stage you’re at. Early stages - perfect, Julie and I played and played, airing all our best and worst ideas. Late stages, Viv and Kalki’s producing house can hook you up with costumes, set design, all sorts, at great prices. In short the Balkan retreat makes things feel Possible. More than possible. Probable!! Each time I’ve been there, shows have appeared. When the conditions are right, you can just let it happen.
